A Message from Our Founders
Secret Sandwich Society was founded by the two of us, David and Tashia Bailey, and it remains a family-built business. The values we started with are the values we hold today: respect, safety, and dignity for every person who walks through our doors, the people who work with us and the people we serve.
We are aware of the recent legal matter involving the operator of the Fayetteville location. We want to be clear and unequivocal: we condemn domestic violence and abuse in every form. It stands in direct opposition to who we are and everything this brand is built on. There is no version of these events that we excuse or minimize.
We also want to be honest about what we can and cannot control. The Fayetteville restaurant operates under a separate, pre-existing ownership structure that we do not unilaterally control. That is a hard reality, and we understand the frustration it causes. We feel it too. We are actively pursuing appropriate avenues available to us, and we are treating this with the seriousness it demands.
What we can speak to without hesitation is the future we are building. Our new Morgantown restaurant is independently owned and operated by the two of us. The individual involved in the Fayetteville matter has no ownership, no role, and no presence in Morgantown.
To the cooks, servers, and teams considering joining us in Morgantown: we hear you, we respect why this matters to you, and we are building a place worthy of your trust. And to everyone deciding where to spend their money: we know that choice carries weight, because you are not just buying a sandwich, you are backing the people and the values behind it.
